Our Affiliations . . .
We have chosen to associate and cooperate with like-minded Baptist churches in support of three important Baptist organizations in an effort to glorify God and reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Central Kentucky Network of Baptist, formerly the Elkhorn Baptist Association, the oldest Baptist Association west of the Alleghenies. It was founded in 1785, pre-dating the Southern Baptist Convention. Currently the CKNB is composed of churches and missions throughout Central Kentucky that fellowship and work together to reach the people of Lexington-Fayette County and it surrounding communities.
The Kentucky Baptist Convention is composed of approximately 2,400 churches and many missions that fellowship and work together to reach the state of Kentucky for the cause of Christ.
The Southern Baptist Convention is composed of approximately 45,000 churches and about 16 million members. It is the largest and one of the fastest growing associations of Christian churches in America. SBC churches include every race, nationality, and ethnic group. Each Sunday, services are held in over 110 language groups. Through the SBC's "Cooperative Program," we help support over 5,000 career missionaries in 125 countries. About 100,000 Southern Baptists each year participate in short-term mission and disaster relief projects at home and abroad.
