Meet Our Parkway Staff . . .

Keith Sands has been pastor of Parkway Baptist Church since March 2014. Keith and his wife Sandy were married in 1986. They originally lived in Pike County, KY where Keith worked in the coal mines and Sandy owned and operated a beauty shop. Keith is a graduate of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY,  Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft Worth, TX and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.. Before coming to Parkway he served as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Irvine for 11 years. Bro. David Slinker first came to Parkway as the church pianist and later transitioned to the Minister of Music position.  David went to Western Kentucky University where he earned B.M.E and M.M. degree in music education and piano performance.  David has taught college level music  and recently retired from an administrative position at Berea College, Berea, KY.   He and wife, Sherry, have served in churches in Missouri and Kentucky.

Margaret Caudill has been our Church Secretary since January 1998 and a member of Parkway since 1966. She was married for 58 years to her husband Harold,. She has 2 daughters, 1 son, 4 granddaughters and 3 great grandsons. She enjoys reading, knitting, genealogy and spending time with her family.​

Sherry McCoy Slinker has been in the music ministry for thirty years. She received a Music Education Degree with an emphasis in voice from Western Kentucky University after which she taught music in the Hazard City School system for a year.  She had felt the call to ministry after her freshman year in college and has continued to pursue that calling.  She has served at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri, and with her husband, David, at Corinth Baptist Church, London, Kentucky and here at Parkway. They have one daughter, Rachel.  She enjoys her dogs and cats, watching UK football and basketball, and being with family.

Brandi Lea Pitts and Carl Edward Pitts have shared 23 years of marriage, blessed with Brianna and Toby, and soon welcoming Jaxxon and Brentley through adoption. Brandi serves diligently as a Bus Monitor at Fayette Co. Public Schools for over nine years and has been a nurturing Nursery Attendant for 19 years. Inspired by a promise to God during a challenging pregnancy with Brianna, Brandi found her calling in caring for children. Her unwavering dedication to her family, faith, church community, and the wellbeing of children shines brightly in her heartfelt commitment to their safety, growth, and education.

Lewis Boggess has served faithfully in our church as Custodian since May 2009.   As our "Minister of Cleanliness, we appreciate his dedication and hard work in keeping our building clean and presentable.   Lewis is married to Maryellen Boggess of Lexington, KY.
